Authentic materials
To support the cultural curriculum, Auf geht's! is based on a large corpus of authentic materials collected specifically for the project. Over 100 hours of interviews (about 1000 pages transcribed) and over 30,000 custom-shot photographs form the basis from which the best and most appropriate materials were chosen. Wherever possible we have utilized authentic imagery rather than generic pictures which are common in learning software.
German culture is more than Neuschwanstein

Culture MUST be a part of the images.
That's why David logged over 100,000 km driving through Germany (over a six year period).
Because one can't just buy a stock image of der Flur.
